You gou to Pinnawala, Dambulla, Sigiriya, Kandy and Nuwara eliya

Itinerary

Start at 5 a.m. after breakfast.

he journey takes nearly 4 hours to the elephant orphanage Pinnawela. You will be found 75 elephants with their babies ( grown up by bottle- feeding) and the elephant museum too. possible to have a elephant ride as your wish.


Afterwards the journey goes to the north, to visit an ancient Buddhist rock temple Rangiri Dambulu vihara, belongs to the Anuradhapura era.(1 century BC. cave temple) There you can find old and well preserved rock paintings and more than 150 Buddha statues. Then you will visit, the world famous fresco paintings on rock of Sigiriya.(5 century BC.) Diner and overnight- stay.
 

After breakfast the trip goes to Kandy ( the last Kingdom of Sri Lanka about 500 years old)located 500m above sea level.
On the way to Kandy passing by Matale, possible to collect experiences about medicinal herbs and spices while visiting a spice garden.
and visit, Royal botanic gardens in Peradeniya(1 of the largest botanic gardens in Asia) see Kandyan dances ,and visit the heart of the Buddhists, the temple of Tooth-relic.
 

Dinner and overnight stay.
 

After breakfast you will leave from Kandy to Bentota via Nuwara eliya ( 1864m over sea level), an old British town. You'll pass the biggest tea plantation on the earth. as well as You will visit an old tea factory which belonged to British, still functioning the old admired method. There you can learn a lot about sri Lankan tea and will have opportunity to taste some flavors of tea.

In the evening you’ll be back in your “Haus Berlin”.
