The village
– A day trip
Itinerary
Start at 7.30 a.m. after breakfast.
The very fist, you can see how the villages are starting
their life in the morning. Then you will be watched toddy
tapping. (specially belongs to the coconut tree;-cocos
nucifera) After less an hour drive via the village you will
be reached the Bentota river and cross the river by a car
ferry. After a little hiking you visit an old Buddhistic
temple complex. On the way of this tour can be watched more
than 20 varieties of birds, as well as many number of
animals, reptiles (with the bit of luck crocodiles),
butterflies, and etc....
You have a picnic at lunch time.
In the afternoon you can visit a gemstone museum.
Afterwards you drive back to the hotel.
